Fundando por Jésica Elizondo y Gabriel Torres Vargas, mind your head project es un estudio / laboratorio para la práctica experimental del arte lumínico. Enfocados en el diseño y realización de artefactos de iluminación, inventan objetos de construcción propia para su implementación en la escena performática y en instalaciones a gran escala.
En el campo de las artes visuales busca cuestionar el lugar de la iluminación respecto a su producción y utilización desde un lugar participativo, tanto del objeto de luz, el performer y el público observador, mind your head project apuesta con sus instalaciones de gran formato por experiencias emocionales dentro del contexto social, artístico y ecológico, planteando nuevas formas de relaciones intersubjetivas con todos sus elementos.
En 2019 Jésica y Gabriel obtienen el premio a Mejor diseño de Iluminación en Premio Nacional de Creación Coreográfica Contemporánea Guillermo Arriaga INBAL-UAM por su colaboración en Pic-Nic AT NEW BOND. En 2020 los premios LIT Lighting Design Awards les otorgan una mención honorífica por el mismo diseño y con el laboratorio / estudio mind your head project se han encargado de las instalaciones lumínicas en el Zócalo de la Ciudad de México para el Día de Muertos en 2016, 2017 y 2018.

Founded by Jésica Elizondo and Gabriel Torres Vargas, mind your head project is a studio / laboratory for the experimental practice of light art. Focused on the design and realization of lighting fixtures, they invent objects of their own construction for their implementation in the performance scene and in large-scale installations.
In the field of visual arts, it seeks to question the place of lighting regarding its production and use from a participatory place, both of the light object, the performer and the observing public, mind your head project bets with its large-format installations on emotional experiences within the social, artistic and ecological context, proposing new forms of intersubjective relationships with all its elements.
In 2019 Jésica and Gabriel obtained the award for Best Lighting Design in theNational Prize for Contemporary Choreographic Creation for their collaboration in Pic-Nic AT NEW BOND. In 2020 the LIT Lighting Design Awards give them an honorable mention for the same design and with the laboratory / studio mind your head project they have been in charge of the lighting installations in the Zócalo of Mexico City for the Day of the Dead in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
